Victoria Michonski
Victoria trained as a doula with ALACE (Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators) and Midwest Maternal Institute, and continues to increase her knowledge and skills through educational seminars and professional learning programs. Her doula journey began in 2005 while pregnant and eagerly awaiting the birth of her child. She and her husband took Bradley Method(R) childbirth education classes, lots of pre-natal yoga and she was inspired by the powerful writing of certified professional midwife, Ina May Gaskin. As she learned more about pregnancy and birth, she saw the need for an additional skilled and informed, non-medical caring lay person to support women, women’s birthing needs & choices.
