Prenatal Services

Prenatal services include physical therapy treatment for conditions such as:

  • Posture/positional/body mechanics training during pregnancy and to prepare for childcare
  • Consultation on safe prenatal exercise and exercise prescription

Planned C-section Preparation
We specialize in caring for women throughout the peripartum period. If the c-section is expected, we help women prior to delivery to safely stay as mobile and active during pregnancy, within their pregnancy precautions, in collaboration with their OB/midwife team, and we educate parents on the anticipated support and home set-up needed after delivery.

In September 2017, Judith Florendo & Suzanne Badillo, joined forces to formLink Physical Therapy.  Judith and Suzanne had a vision of combining their over 35 years of experience in musculoskeletal and pelvic health physical therapy to increase impact in the community through strong clinical care, community outreach and education, and wellness services to empower individuals regain control of their health and quality of life.

Judith Florendo, PT, DPT

Judith (she/her/hers) is the former owner and director of Florendo Physical Therapy in Chicago from 2000-2017. In the fall of 2017, she co-founded Link Physical Therapy with Suzanne Badillo, right in their “backyard.” She received her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from the University of Illinois Chicago, and her clinical doctorate at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago.

She contributes to various multidisciplinary scholarly projects and research, has been a member of professional boards, and participates in clinical education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Physical Therapy and Human Movement. Clinical interests include female sexual function after cancer treatment, and the missing pieces between “pre-hab,” rehab, and fitness. Judith is a co-creator of the Total Control Exercise Program for pelvic health and fitness. She is currently a clinical associate in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at the University of Chicago.

Suzanne Aceron Badillo, PT, WCS

Suzanne Bacillo was our guest on The BirthGuide Podcast discussing “Pelvic PT for every postpartum mother“.

Suzanne (she/her/hers) brings over 26 years of experience in the field of physical therapy and is a board-certified clinical specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy. Prior to co-founding Link Physical Therapy, she served as Clinical Program Director of Women’s Health Rehabilitation at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago).

Suzanne is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Academy of Pelvic Health. She has served as member and Chair of the APTA CAPP-Obstetric Committee, developing and teaching the post-graduate certification curriculum on PT pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation. Her clinical, research, and educational interests include pelvic health, women’s health across the lifespan, pregnancy/postpartum rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, and gender and cultural/racial disparities in healthcare, and she lectures locally and nationally on these topics. In addition, she has authored and contributed to multiple scholarly and popular publications. She has also completed additional specialty training in Visceral Manipulation (Barral VM1-4), the McKenzie Method (MDT Part A-D), menopause health, and pain neuroscience education.

Suzanne was born and raised in Evanston, and loves being back in her hometown with her husband and three children.Suzanne brings over 26 years of experience in the field of physical therapy and is board certified in Women’s Health Physical Therapy.  She served as Clinical Program Director of Women’s Health Rehabilitation at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) prior to co-founding Link Physical Therapy, with Judith Florendo.

Dr. Erin McNulty, PT, DPT

Erin’s (she/her/hers) professional journey into pelvic rehabilitation began with a clinical rotation at Entropy Physiotherapy & Wellness in Chicago where she cultivated skills in helping people with persistent pain and complex pelvic conditions. After graduating with her clinical doctorate from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science she dove into treating pelvic and orthopedic conditions, with a special interest in pelvic pain, pain neuroscience, postpartum rehabilitation, and removing the stigma and discomfort around discussing pelvic health.

Erin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association – Academy of Pelvic Health and the Integrated Pelvic Care Pelvic Tribe, a community of physical therapists working together to improve the understanding and treatment of male pelvic conditions. She is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and has training in visceral mobilization, gender-affirming vaginoplasty rehabilitation, and orthopedic dry needling.

Erin is from South Bend, Indiana. When she isn’t in the clinic Erin enjoys testing the limits of her small backyard garden, taste-testing treats from local bakeries, and working out. Erin recently started indoor rock climbing and plans to try her first outdoor climbing adventure soon! She loves hanging out with family and friends, especially her cats Eleanor and Audrey.
