Dr. Raya Williams

Dr. Raya was born in Chicago and grew up in several communities across Illinois, always carrying a deep curiosity about how the body works and heals. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a pediatrician, and her years as an athlete in track & field, cross country, and tennis strengthened her appreciation for movement and the innate wisdom of the human body.

She began her education on a pre-physical therapy track before graduating with a Communication and Digital Media degree from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Raya completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training and additional specialized training in yoga for pre-conception, yoga for labor and birth, and yoga for postpartum.

These experiences naturally shifted her into supporting families as a birth and postpartum doula before falling in love with home birth. She decided to pursue traditional midwifery, apprenticing under three experienced Certified Professional Midwives and completing extensive clinical training in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.

She decided to continue her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she fell in love with the philosophy of chiropractic and the art of the adjustment, recognizing its unique ability to support healing from within. The profound impact of nervous-system–centered chiropractic care became the bridge between her love for birthwork and her commitment to generational health.

Dr. Raya is a Webster-certified chiropractor with extensive training in prenatal, pediatric, and perinatal care. She believes that when parents are supported with compassion and education, families and futures grow stronger. She is currently studying to complete her (CACCP) certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

Above all, Dr. Raya’s faith and family hold a sacred place in her heart. When she’s away from the practice, she loves reading, journaling, traveling and dreaming up new ways to support families.
