Special care nursery: We are ready for anything, and can care for babies as low as 32 weeks gestation with high acuity in our special care nursery. The nursery is also affiliated with the Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance and Advocate Children’s Hospital, allowing us to provide immediate access to any specialized treatment your newborn might need.

Pre-labor care: The antepartum area accommodates expectant mothers who require additional observation prior to delivery.

Specialized team of experts

We’ve developed our birthing center team with a focus on both expertise and compassion, which means you can expect the best care available. Our team of board-certified obstetricians are present 24/7 to care for you and your newborn in consultation with specialists in high-risk pregnancies, sick or premature babies, and pediatrics, should the need arise. They work closely with our team of highly trained nurses, lactation consultants and staff to make sure that you and your newborn are well cared for before, during and after birth.

All of our birthing center nurses are certified in the AAP/AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program and are present at your delivery to provide your baby with expert care. While you and your baby are in the hospital, you’ll see our nursing leaders daily to ensure that our team is meeting all of your expectations, and a nurse will follow-up with you after you’re discharged to make sure that all is going well with you and your baby at home. All obstetric nurses are experts in electronic fetal monitoring in order to carefully monitor both you and your baby during labor and delivery.
