Highland Park does not have separate triage rooms. A laboring mother is admitted immediately to a labor room, where her partner and doula can be with her.
Doulas are considered part of the medical team and do not count as one of the 2 support people allowed in the labor room.
Certified lactation specialists are available for inpatient visits.
Breastfeeding classes and a telephone “WARM-LINE” (847.480.3702) are also available.
The midwives are also lactation consultants and can see you in the clinic or virtually after the baby is born.
