Maternity Care Overview
From hospital website:
This year Roseland Community Hospital’s Perinatal Services department was designated as a level II nursery by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Perinatal Services provides care to prenatal, labor and postpartum mothers and newborns.
Did you know (According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services…)
- Every year nearly one million American women deliver babies without receiving adequate medical attention.
- Babies born to mothers who received no prenatal care are three times more likely to be born at low birth weight, and five times more likely to die, than those whose mothers received prenatal care.
Prenatal care is important for the health and future of unborn babies. Women who do not receive proper prenatal care risk complications that can potentially lead to serious health problems for both the mother and her baby.
Here at Roseland Community Hospital we offer 24 hour neonatology and obstetrics physician coverage along with free Prenatal Classes for expecting mothers.
Roseland Community Hospital offers financial assistance opportunities for patients who are in need of additional help.
A financial counselor is equipped to answer your questions about the financial assistance programs you may be eligible for. Call the number below with questions.
