Postpartum Planning Package

We spend so much time focused on pregnancy, the baby shower registry, and (of course!) getting excited about the baby. Unfortunately, women’s postpartum period is often overlooked in our society. After delivery, your body and your mind have just undergone a huge transformation. It is vital to your physical and mental health to take the time to recover and bond with your baby.

The Postpartum Planning Package includes two private, 1-hour sessions with me before birth, email access to me through your first three weeks postpartum, and plenty of resource recommendations and planning tools. I will help you build a custom, evidence-based plan for those early days with your newborn, so you can focus on bonding and healing once your baby is here.

You Will Learn:

  • Comfort measures
  • Rest and recovery needs
  • Nutrition needs
  • Emotional health info
  • Support system tips
  • Infant bonding info
  • Infant feeding info
  • Postpartum traditions from around the world

You Will Get:

  • practical information about postpartum recovery and infant bonding
  • sample meal plan and recipes for the postpartum woman
  • tools (lists and worksheets) to develop postpartum plans
  • resource recommendations tailored to your family
  • practice with mindfulness techniques for more peaceful early days of parenting
  • connection with me via email to answer questions from the time your postpartum planning session begins until 3 weeks after your baby is born

Prenatal Breastfeeding Workshop

The breastfeeding relationship can be so rewarding – full of nourishment and love. At the same time, many parents are shocked when they realize just how time-consuming and energy-consuming feeding a newborn is. The early days of parenting are intense and often full of uncertainty. You can alleviate some of that stress by learning about breastfeeding now – before you’re juggling your own recovery and caring for your newborn.

This workshop covers the basics of breastfeeding, realistic expectations for the early days with your baby, and how to prevent common pitfalls that can cause nursing to end before you are ready.

You Will Learn:

  • Newborn feeding behavior
  • Common breastfeeding challenges
  • Nursing positions
  • Inspiring facts about human milk
  • Correct latch
  • Infant bonding facts and tips
  • Milk supply basics
  • Practical advice for postpartum

Our team

TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS

Hi! I’m Candace.

I’m a Certified Childbirth Educator (BFW) and a member of Nurturely’s lactation educator community.

I teach Birthing From Within childbirth classes. Birthing From Within classes provide a non-judgmental space to learn the realities of what to expect during childbirth and postpartum. We also go beyond information to practice pain-coping techniques, decision-making strategies, partner involvement tips, and more.

My Prenatal Breastfeeding Workshops use Nuturely’s framework. The workshops are for expectant parents – they help parents understand what to expect and how to start off on the right foot in the early days of breastfeeding.

I’ve also trained in Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss – expanding my skill set to include a much-needed aspect of supporting parents.

Above all, working with parents has been my favorite part of this journey.  I love sharing information, answering your questions, and helping you on YOUR journeys.
