Our Mothers’ Light Holistic Birth Service (OML) is dedicated to not only impacting but changing the birth narrative for black women, their families, and other women alike, in and around Chicago and the world.​

The OML model of care is based on our African Ancestral culture’s birth and mothering traditions and is fused with our various birth trainings and personal experiences.

Virtual Doula Services

What if you could have a go-to person throughout your pregnancy while reserving your intimate birthing time for you and your partner? Or are you having a difficult time finding a doula in your area who resonates with you? If so, you’re in the right place.

The most important work we do with all of our clients is prenatally to help you:
  • Explore the areas of pregnancy & birth in which you are most interested or need the most support. 
  • Feel confident in ​knowing your options, what questions to ask during prenatal visits and understanding informed consent.
  • Decide what’s important and give you and your partner confidence to birth in the way you wish.

We offer two levels of virtual doula services, including:

  • Free 30 min consultation
  • Team of 2 dedicated birth professionals
  • 3-5 1 hr personalized & interactive virtual sessions
  • Convenient in-home appointments
  • A weekly or bi-weekly priority text
  • Personalized biweekly or monthly guide
  • Access to exclusive resource library
  • Unlimited text & calls from 38 weeks until 2 weeks postpartum
  • Virtual breastfeeding & postpartum support for 2 weeks
  • Postpartum gift (USPS mail)

We offer two levels of in-person birth doula services, including:
  • Free 30 min consultation
  • 1- 2 prenatal visits
  • Unlimited phone, text & email support throughout your pregnancy
  • 24/7 on call services from 38 weeks until you give birth
  • Guaranteed back up doula
  • Early breastfeeding & postpartum support (1-2 hours after the birth)
  • Postpartum home visit (“Sacred Birth” plan only)
  • ​Continued phone, text & email support for 1 week postpartum
